My mate Mario, while running his real Italian restaurant in Palmerston North, showed me that Italians didn't take the Pope as seriously as NZ-born Catholics.

Or westerlies as seriously as NZ-born pilots! He took me up for a spin in a Palmerston North Aero Club Cessna when a westerly was gusting at 30+ knots. We got up off the runway real quick, but we had several interesting attempts at trying to get the wheels to stay on the ground when landing again.

But eventually we did it! (JA)
