May
protection, support, care, and acts of courage for the affectionate soul, the quiet, inoffensive soul, be wrapped around her inexperienced love, but discretely, out of the way, so that her love can be retained as a gift. Allow her to show her affection, make her love public, set free her yearning and may she be loved in return. May all peoples in the world be at peace and may this desire be tied closely to the hearts of us all. Allow them all to show their affection, make their love public, set free their yearning and may they all be loved in return. |
New words for me. Māhaki = to be inoffensive, quiet, placid, humble, tolerant. Kuare = to be ignorant, naive, unaware of, uneducated, unknowing.
Not ignorant = stupid, but ignorant = innocent, inexperienced
Rawea = to be wrapped around. Here this seems to say "Always
keep a loving eye on your little sister in social
situations, with the courage to fight to protect her if
necessary.....
Rāhaki = to one side, situation out of the way, aside ...but give her space to flower like a butterfly." Pōhane = intellectual desire, love, affection, sexual desire, lust, sodomy. Pūpuhi = to build up pressure, blow, shoot, spout like a whale. Poreirewa = yearnings, usually for what has been lost, but here it is a yearning for what has not yet been
found.
Māriri = to be appeased, abated, peaceful, calm, serene, tranquil. with thanks to Karen Lee and Reupena Tawhai. Visitors since August 29, 2024 http://freevisitorcounters.com |
