Texan
men join the NRA and strut around with big guns, but when they
are called to be real men, they run and hide, leaving un-armed
Texan wimmin to act whakatane.
This was highlighted at Uvalde when 362 heavily-armed but
gutless policemen stood for more than an hour around while a
teenager killed 19 small children and 2 teachers, and
terrorised and wounded dozens of other
children.
Everyone
considered him
protector of the county
He'd even joined the NRA
to show he was real strong
His mama named him Pedro
and folks called him brave he-man
But something always told me,
they were reading Pete Boy wrong.
There's a job for every man
and Pete Boy's job was school guard
He made sure no wild child
packed a pistol or a knife
But a gunned-up boy came calling
at Robb Elementary
When Pete Boy saw the weapons,
he ran for his life.
Police
Chief Arredondo (left): big gun, no conjones.
While mothers ducked through bushes,
and crawled towards the gunfire
Dragged children from their classrooms
with bravery quite divine
He jes' stood there frozen
a shakin' at the entrance
His face stained with his tears
and his pants stained with urine.
Then hun'reds more fat Texans
roared up in big p'lice cruisers
with shields and body armour
they looked so well prepared
Texan men; big guns,
no cojones.
But for almost 90 minutes
they all jes' stood there listenin'
To screams an' shots --- then silence --
every one of them too scared.
We
stayed aroun' an' played aroun' this ole
school so long,
The kids are now all gone, but we did nuthin'
wrong.. did
we?
Now
everyone considers them
the cowards of the country
They all stood back while mothers cried
‘Rush in there and fight’
Their mamas called him big men
but folks now call them Yellar
And with 19 dead school children,
they read those Texans right.
And the NRA makes millions arming cowards of the
country.. . . .
. .
'To
protect and serve.'
Yeah, right!
The badge of Uvalde's Police Chief Pedro 'Pete'
Arredondo
who has been charged with child
abandonment and endangerment.
